A 6th generation Texan, with rich family history and background in the ranching, hunting, and real estate brokerage business; Don obtained his broker’s license in 1989 and has been taking care of commercial and ranch real estate clients for nearly 30 years.
Don’s passion for ranching and for the Texas hill country started at age 6 when he began to spend his summers and holidays hunting, fishing and exploring the hill country ranches owned by his family.
His lifetime of experience in the Texas hill country has provided Don with extensive knowledge in developing and maintaining habitat for wildlife, understanding and identifying native plants and invasives, and understanding and deploying game management best practices.
Don has extensive experience in road and pond construction, spring development, cedar management, water improvement, and trail improvements. Don has a history of helping his clients maximize return on investment through plotting and subdividing ranches, and working with local government entities with compliance and permitting issues.
With a passion for sharing all that the Texas hill country has to offer, Don understands the power of the outdoors to enhance relationships with nature, family, and friends. His enthusiasm for inspiring respect for natural resources and wildlife informs the approach he takes in helping his clients find the ideal property to create a family legacy and dreams that become a reality.
Don graduated from Texas State University in 1983 with a B.A. Degree in finance. Since 1999 he has been owner and operator of a ranch under a wildlife management exemption near Medina, TX. He is married with 2 grown children and lives in Boerne, Texas with his wife of 34 years.
