Located south of Elgin, Texas, within 30 minutes to downtown Austin, 1 Arbuckle Ranch is an ideal location for a weekend recreational ranch, commercial development or cattle rancher looking to escape the hustle of city life. Additionally, the famed "Giga Texas" Tesla manufacturing plant is very close to this ranch, providing a short commute for many different walks of life. Ranches this size and of this caliber are extremely hard to come by in this incredibly valuable part of the state.
1 Arbuckle Ranch is located in the Standifer Survey, where William Bailey Standifer fought at the historic Battle of San Jacinto in 1836. This was the decisive battle of the Texas Revolution that was led by General Samuel Houston, and resulted in the defeat of General Santa Anna and his Mexican Army. Additionally, Standifer came to Texas in 1828 as a part of Stephen F Austin's Little Colony. The story of The Little Colony is very interesting, as this group of 300 families was the first settlement of Anglos in modern day Texas. These families, including the Standifers, blazed the path that eventually led to the events of San Jacinto. This area and this property is rooted deep in the history and the story of how Texas became the great state that it is today.
