Texas has been kicked out of the number 1 spot on U-Haul’s annual growth report for the first time since 2015.

Since 2015, Texas has been sitting in the no. 1 spot on U-Haul’s annual Growth State Report. They take this measurement by analyzing the amount of U-Haul trucks that leave and enter each state in the US (excluding Hawaii) each year. In the past few years, Texas has had around 50.4% of the one-way U-Haul traffic in the state result from arrivals. The beginning of 2020 shows a promising outlook for the U.S. housing market.

Within the span of 7 years (2012 to 2019) 5.9 million homes were built within the United States. During that same time period, over 9.8 million new households were formed within the US.

Although some of these households have been able to purchase homes from families moving out of the US or from unoccupied homes, there is still a rather significant deficit between the number of homes built and the number of people needing homes within America.

Explaining The U.S. Housing Deficit

Why is the housing deficit so large though?

As expected, the main culprit seems to be the great recession in 2008. In the years leading up to the market crash, loans were being granted to

The Australia Bushfires, which have been raging since November with unprecedented destruction, have encompassed an area in Australia approximately equal to the size of South Korea. Not only is the destruction of wildlife, and property absolutely devastating from these fires, but the effects that the fires will have on the Agriculture business could be detrimental to that portion of Australia’s economy.

Each year there is a season of wildfires in Australia which usually extend through the Summer and Fall months.
