Recently, some big news has been revealed on the ranch real estate front.
The biggest ranch on sale in Texas and one of the biggest ranches in the United States has just been put on the market.
Brewster Ranches in West Texas
This West Texas ranch, called Brewster Ranches, spans over 420,000 consecutive acres. The owner and seller, Brad Kelley has spent over two decades buying nearby ranches to create this massive property. From the edges of the beautiful Rio Grande River and stretching to canyons near Big Bend National Park, this gigantic piece of land comes from 22 previous properties that Mr. Kelley consolidated.
For Sale: One Ranch, Or Five?
Though the ranch is listed for $320 million, the owner has said that he is willing to separate the land into five tracts if need be. You can check out the listing here.
Land Uses: Hunting or Grazing
The property boasts many wildlife herds including elk, bighorn, quail, and mule deer. Along with a wide variety of wildlife, the ranch has space for fishing, four-wheeling, and plenty of space for all your outdoor adventures. The land was leased out under Kelley for hunting and cattle grazing, so it has the capability to sustain those practices as well.
Private Conservation Land
With a passion for conservation, Brad Kelley has expressed a wish that whoever buys the land would put a conservation easement on the property. Since the land is next to the Black Gap Wildlife Management Area, which has a goal to aid the recovering bighorn sheep population, theoretically this land that Kelley is selling would aid in that endeavor.
Whether or not you are interested in land of this caliber, it is a beautiful piece of property that should be sure to take a look at while the photos are released. The stunning landscapes of West Texas may not be for everyone but we sure appreciate the sparse beauty of it.
