The Texas Panhandle and South Plains is a large geographical region within the state of Texas. This region goes all the way from the top of the panhandle near Oklahoma, all the way down to Odessa in the Permian Basin.
Land use in this region ranges for a multitude of agricultural commodities. The classic "cotton, cattle, and crude" are developed in a high capacity here, with cotton and cattle in the Panhandle, and a huge oil market in the Permian Basin.
