About Matt Gose

Matt Gose is a fifth-generation Texan with deep roots in land, agriculture, and stewardship. Raised on a thoroughbred horse farm in Wichita Falls, Texas, Matt developed an early appreciation for hard work, land management, and the value of rural property. He later played tournament polo at the Retama Polo Center, competed in triathlons, and remains passionate about freshwater and saltwater fly fishing and bird hunting.

Matt studied geology at Trinity University and The University of Texas and went on to build a distinguished 40+ year career as a petroleum geologist and exploration executive. Prior to his professional career, he proudly served in the United States Navy as a aerospace medical technician and search-and-rescue crew-member. His career in oil and gas involved evaluating, acquiring, and developing large land positions across Texas and the western United States.

That work required a deep understanding of geology, terrain, access, mineral ownership, surface use, easements, and risk—factors that are equally critical in farm, ranch, and rural residential real estate. Matt brings this disciplined, analytical approach to every transaction, helping clients understand not only what a property is today, but its long-term potential and value.
